AGB National Tour Finals

Quicks Team

Massive Congratulations to Bryony Pitman winning Gold at the National Tour Ladies recurve final

This is what she had to say

2018 National Tour Champion
This was the last shoot of the outdoor season and everything came together for a great finish!
The wind played havoc with everyone all day so the scores weren’t always pretty, but I pulled it together when I needed to!
Got an idea of the wind during my first match and where to aim when it was bad, after the first end I shot fairly well.
I won my second match 7-1, again shooting fairly consistently, nothing special but it was enough!
I then met Naomi in the final again, and this time I managed to come out on top, finishing the match with a nice 29

I’m really happy to have finished the year on top of the podium and topping the national rankings for the 3rd consecutive year!
This year my practice scores have gone through the roof and the competition season has gotten progressively better and I’ve finished on a few great performances to take into next year!
This winter will involve a few technique changes and alterations and a whole lot more work mentally and physically

Finally I’d like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to my sponsors, without their help and support it would be almost impossible to compete at the level I do, or compete the amount I do!
I cannot recommend these companies enough, I’m so grateful for their support and to be so well looked after by all their lovely staff!

World Archery - World Cup Stage 4 Berlin

Quicks Team

Team shooter Bryony Pitman, along with GB team mates Sarah Bettles and Eleanor Piper had a fantastic result at the 4th stage of the World Archery World Cup in Berlin.
The Ladies team beat Germany, China and Chinese Taipei on the way to a gold final against the might of Korea.
After some strong shooting which was shown live by the BBC online and on the red button, the Koreans proved just too strong, however a silver on the International stage is a great achievement.
Well done ladies.

Here is what Bryony had to say after the competition.

"Silver team medal here in Berlin for the 4th stage of the World Cup!! Incredibly happy with my performance in the team rounds this week after qualifying 11th we knocked out Germany(ranked 6th), China(3rd) and Chinese Taipei(2nd), unfortunately we lost the final to Korea but my shots felt great and I think the excitement just made me shoot slightly stronger than on the practice range and group high, an amazing feeling being on the podium though and I can’t wait to see what we can do at the Europeans next month.
Also finished 6th in the mixed team with Patrick Huston.
A huge thank you to my sponsors for the support and great kit."
