Everyone has a different hand shape.

A former Olympic and World  Archery Champion said that the first thing he does when he shoots a new bow is to Customise the Grip so that it fits his hand comfortably. Don't be afraid to shape your grip to give you a good stable and comfortable grip and hand position. If you need to start again there are always spare grips.
